Sonja is a Senior Student of Core Process Psychotherapy, currently studying a Post Graduate Diploma at the Karuna Institute.

Core Process Psychotherapy is one of the original mindfulness-based psychotherapy modalities, integrating Buddhist psychology, mindfulness practice & western psychotherapy skills.

Practicing in person & online from her therapy space in Poole, Sonja is curious to work with those who are ready to unpack what lies behind their choices, responses and behaviours.

“Out beyond ideas of rightdoing and wrongdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”

  • Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based psychotherapeautic practice that offers opportunity for clients to cultivate compassionate self enquiry.

By holding the intention of a safe relational field between therapist and client, we can support inner and outer transformation to arise.

  • Psychotherapy may alleviate symptoms such as relationship conflict, anxiety & stress, depression, bereavement, anger, unresolved childhood trauma and unhelpful repeating behavioural patterns.

The symptoms of suffering help us to uncover and attend to the core of the issue, allowing symptoms to ease.

CPP is a reflective practice that allows the layers to peel away so that we can become clear in recognising our part and our needs.

This way we open to the possibility of becoming more conscious in our choices and responses.

  • CPP is a contemplative, relational practice that offers an intention for safe and compassionate inquiry.

It is in the safety of the therapeutic relationship and the present moment awareness that it cultivates, that we can lay down ideas of right and wrong and allow self awareness to emerge.

This is how we can come home to our innate health.

  • Core Process Psychotherapy is a long term, weekly commitment to self exploration.

The client and therapist begin with a free 30 minute introduction session in person to meet one another and learn more.

If both parties agree to continue the exploration together, then a 6 week contract will be agreed. All 6 sessions will be held in person.

After this, the agreement will roll one month at a time and online sessions can be discussed.

  • 30 minute introductory session free of charge.

Thereafter, sessions cost £60 and last 60 minutes. £60 is the student rate, applicable until accreditation, whereupon the session fee will increase to £90.

All sessions will be invoiced at the start of each month and any cancellation must be mutually agreed in writing. Cancellation or failure to attend within 48hrs of a scheduled appointment will be charged at full rate.
