“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against love.”

Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi

About

After 25 years of teaching trauma informed yoga, I studied Living Anatomy in 2019 with the intention of training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, qualifying from CSET. It was here in the safe hands of my tutor Jo Coole and with guidance from my mentor Anneli Hulkkonen that I deviated from Cranio into Core Process Psychotherapy, feeling the pull towards in-depth study of the psyche.

For me, feeling the rhythms of the body and the currents of the psyche are not separate.

I am working towards a 4 year post graduate diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute and am currently in the clinical year of study. The psychotherapy I offer is relational, grounded in embodied awareness and deep listening. My work is driven by trust in our inherent capacity for personal transformation.

Drawing from my experience as a teacher of yoga and holistic bodyworker, I orient my work to the wisdom of the body, to relationship & the healing potential of presence.

I recognise that suffering is a natural part of being human and that many times it arises from a sense of separation, lack or not belonging. This may express itself as anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, overwhelm, difficulty in relationships or a loss of inner compass or self. My intention is that our work allows us to gently identify and embrace our young parts, conditioning & defended patterns with kindness so that with time they might loosen into something more vibrant and true.

I believe that this is how we liberate ourselves from the distorted beliefs and survival strategies that have kept us stuck in cycles of suffering. As we restore our relationship with truth we discover that we have choice and a more authentic life can emerge.

My work seeks to expand capacity to be with our experience, learning to tolerate truth rather than defend against it, we discover an inner well of courage, resilience, compassion and the potential for change.

Compassionate reclamation of what we have hidden in the shadows enables liberation of our innate gifts, finding light within darkness, joy within sorrow & medicine within the wound.

I will meet you with quiet, compassionate presence and offer our relationship as a container for transformation.
