QOYA Dance Your Desire

3hrs dedicated to getting clear on how you want to FEEL in 2018 in 3 simple stages:

  1. Mindful breath and the Magdalene Meditation dedicated to the pelvis to clarify what needs to be released.
  2. Journaling to receive wisdom on how we want to feel.
  3. QOYA to move as medicine and complete the process.

The Workshop opens with Mindful Breath and the Magdalene Meditation to connect with the wisdom within your pelvic bowl.  Together we shall invite the ovaries and womb to guide you as to what needs releasing for you to thrive - trust me, they know.

In this state of deep connection and consciousness we shall explore through writing  how we want to feel through the year ahead;

  • in body & wellness
  • in creativity & learning
  • in career & lifestyle
  • in relationship & society
  • in essence.

Releasing and receiving - the two sides of the coin.  Let's be clear.  What are you releasing?  What are you calling in?  Let's feel into 2018 and Dance Your Desire in.

QOYA is movement with meaning.  It's founded on the idea that through movement we remember, as women, our essence is wise, wild and free. Wise, wild and free also draw reference to the movement forms we practice.  Wise from the wisdom of yoga.  Wild from the wildness and creative expression of dance.  Free from feminine movement and the ability to feel the sensuality of our own body.  There is no way you can do it wrong, and the way you know you are doing it right is that it feels good.

Schedule.

12.00-1pm Mindful breath and The Magdalene Meditation devoted to the pelvis. RELEASE.

1-1.30pm Pages of clarity - writing to understand how we want to feel. RECEIVE.

1.30-3pm QOYA Dance Your Desire.

Open to 8 women only, this gathering is about slowing down to savour the threshold as we move from 2017 to 2018.  It's an opportunity to fine tune our awareness about how we want to feel.  It is an invitation to create space for that feeling to settle into your bones.

Set the tone for the year ahead.  Make it purposeful, make it sacred, make it FEEL good.

Todays' world moves incredibly fast and the pressures of being young without understanding how to care for our own wellbeing can be overwhelming.

Taking a moment to slow down, to self soothe your own body and to remember your essence is calm can reframe everything and better prepare you for daily challenges.

A word from Sonja: QOYA

QOYA is a movement practice based on the understanding that through movement we remember.  We remember our essence is wise, wild and free.  When we partake in a QOYA session we come home to the truth of ourselves, being guided by our internal wisdom rather than the dictates of an external authority.

By combining the wisdom of yoga, the wild expression of dance and the freedom to explore the realms of pleasure within your own body, QOYA is a transformational portal back to yourself.

Expect yoga, dance, connection and deep awakening within.

A word from Scania: GONG BATH MEDITATION.

GONG BATH MEDITATION

The Gong will be played in many different ways and for various purposes and intentions. There will be different builds and release cycles that can release old emotions. Due to Scania’s intuitive ability, each session will be different. At this point, the body and mind are in a vastly altered and receptive state of consciousness. For most people, this is a profound and deeply moving experience.

WHY THE GONG?

The Gong is a psychoacoustic gateway to heightened states of awareness and consciousness. It is an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and to break up emotional blockages. When skilfully played, gongs stimulate and resonate all cells in the human body simultaneously and recalibrate the parasympathetic nervous system.

WHAT HAPPENS?

Magic happens when there is no separation between the gong, the Yogi, the player and the listener. Playing and listening to gongs is about spiritual, physical and emotional resolution. The opening of doors and windows to the Universe, the moving of collective energies to enter a spiritual dimension.

  • Wednesday 10th May / 7.30-9pm / £35 / Branksome Dene Chine

Under the light of the full moon, beside the ocean and surrounded by nature we gather to dance our truth with QOYA.

Qoya classes are based on the idea that through movement we remember.  We remember our essence is wise, wild and strong.  Wise calls on the ancient wisdom of yoga, wild calls on the creative expression in dance, and free calls on the expansion of our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement.

Qoya invites new ways of being to be expressed as a woman in her life.  Ways we can build our strength: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  Ways we can be agile: like a child who falls down and gets right back up.  Ways we can love and honour: what is - as it is - and still dare to dream bigger dreams.

Qoya encourages you to shine confidently as a woman who knows she is wise, wild and free.
